Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Assistant Director supports overall recruitment efforts and is responsible for planning and managing effectively all aspects of high-quality campus visit experiences and special events for prospective students, families, and groups. The selected candidate will develop and sustain a vibrant student ambassador program and work closely with the Assistant Director of Admissions for On-Campus Hosting and Special Events in coordinating large scale admissions programs. Additionally, the Assistant Director will effectively manage his or her assigned geographic territories, render admissions decisions and actively participate in events and programs including, but not limited to, Immediate Decision Day and Onsite Decision Day events.

A Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Business, Communication or related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. In addition, the selected candidate must possess three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the field of college admissions that includes two (2) years of on campus visit programming or event planning. One (1) year experience as a Student Ambassador, which includes verbal and written communication to prospective students and their families, participation in on-campus recruitment events, training of other Student Ambassadors and data entry may be substituted for campus visit programming or event planning experience. Proficiency in data analysis and utilization for reports, as well as strong detail orientation, are required. The successful candidate will possess excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills; be available to work some evenings and weekends; and possess a valid driver’s license for work related travel.
