Sharon Puchalski

Professor • School of Nursing

Sharon Puchalski is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and licensed by the state of New Jersey.
Completing her DNP degree at WPU in 2013, Sharon started working as an assistant professor in the Nursing Department in 2014 and was tenured and promoted to associate professor in 2020. Prior to WPU, Sharon worked as an adjunct professor at County College of Morris and was a tenured professor at Bergen Community College.
Sharon has twenty-nine years of nursing experience has been working in a private OB-GYN practice as a WHNP for 23 years.

Professional Interests

Sharon's scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management and overall comprehensive healthcare for women across the lifespan. 
She is also interested in pedagogy, teaching and learning strategies, and nursing practice.

Other Interests

Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys working out (running, swimming, biking, and taking fitness classes at the YMCA) and helping people whenever she can.
