Diana Peck

Professor • Department of Communication

After working in theater and local radio, worked as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Financial Aid at Princeton University and started pursuing graduate studies in Education and Communication. Joined the William Paterson University Communication Department in 1976 and became involved in nation-wide efforts to support community media, serving as national chairperson of what is now the Alliance for Community Media for two years, joining with groups such as the National League of Cities, the National Council of Mayors and the Urban League to craft Congressional testimony.
In recent decades teaching and research interests have focused on aspects of international media and cross-cultural communication.
Served as chairperson of the Communication Department from 1987-1990, heading up the planning for the renovation of Hamilton Hall and again from 2014-2017.
