(High School P.M.) College Essay & Resume Writing 7/27-7/31/20

Time is of the essence when composing a resume and writing all of the college essays required by universities nowadays. In this course, the main focus will be on creating and editing both resumes and college essays through the use of the use of the Google Docs editing platform where the instructor will help review, organize, proofread, and finalize the “perfect” essays and resumes for a range of different colleges.

In addition to the thorough editing process and development of essays and resumes, Padlet and Canva is another platform that will be utilized so that the students within the course can collaborate with one another about college discussions to have a community of learners with the same common goal in mind: success! On Canva students will see varied examples of resumes and will be able to choose from a variety of virtual formats to choose from to produce or edit their current resumes. Students are encouraged to bring in their in-progress drafts of their college essays and resumes or they may start from scratch in this course designed to enhance the process of developing both college essays and resumes.
