The Foundations of Career Readiness 7/20-7/24/20
The purpose of this course is to provide insight, plan, and the tools for plan execution for high school students to understand how career readiness begins with self-evaluation and being able to discuss accomplishments in a way that others can hear. At the end of the course, students will make a 3 -4 minute presentation on topics they learned from the coursework and how it relates to their own career readiness.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Discuss how language informs personal identity, thinking, and interacting
- Describe and frame measurable results resulting from tasks and activities
- Describe the various parts of both a resume and job description
- Integrate the various parts of a resume with the various parts of a job description
- Tell an impactful, personal story of accomplishment
