(Middle School P.M.) Summer Math Review & Recovery - 2 Weeks: 7/27-8/7/20

In this summer review course, set your middle school student up for success with a toolbox of strategies to help them build a strong mathematical foundation for middle school and beyond. Rising and current middle school students will be encouraged to expand their mathematical thinking to prepare them for the more abstract concepts that are taught at the middle school level. Basic skills will be enhanced and expanded to include in depth practice with complex fractions, integers, and exponents. Students will be encouraged to justify their reasoning with multi-step problems using both words and numbers. While working through mathematical challenges, students will develop focus with a growth mindset and learn perseverance when confronted with more complex problems. Participants are encouraged to bring their summer math assignments to complete during the course to practice the foundation math skills for the next academic year.
