Jazz Audio Recording Academy (Commuter)7/9-7/21/18
5th Annual Audio Recording Workshop (Commuters) 7/9-7/13/2018
Learn about the art and practice of recording from industry professionals. Participants will have hands-on experience in a professional recording studio and take part in recording and mixing sessions. Students will also learn about running a recording session, microphone techniques, improving room acoustics, developing critical listening skills, tips on using DAW software and computer interface, signal processing, how to polish a mix, and careers in audio. The program will end at noon on Friday.
The Audio Recording Workshop is for students who have completed 8th grade

July 15-21, 2018 — one week workshop
25th Annual SUMMER JAZZ WORKSHOP for high school and college students.
- Seven intense days of improvisation and performance for students, age 14 and older
- Open to commuters and residents
- Classes in improvisation, arranging, and jazz history
- World-renowned artists in nightly clinics and concerts
- An evening at a legendary New York City jazz club
- A final concert with students and resident faculty
- Tuition scholarships available
