Introduction to Global Cultures and Values in the 21st Century 7/30-8/3/18

An Introduction to Global Cultures and Values with a Sociological perspective investigates global cultures and values and how they compare to our own. This is not designed to change anyone’s values but introduce students to other social norms, beliefs, habits and perceptions. This class is for our young students to understand that they live, study and work in a global world must be well-rounded and versed in the diversity of the world to succeed.  The course brings together different disciplines through the Social Sciences, literature, documentaries, journalism and the arts.

  2. Investing in Education/Oppression of Girls and Women
  3. Customs, Rituals, Values and Breaking Bread
  4. Geopolitics
  5. Body Art and Image over the Centuries
