July 17 - July 20:(4 Days):Pop Culture's Influence on Science (Grades 4 - 6)

Lasers, phasers, communicators and more! In this program we review how fantasy science is portrayed in various films, television shows, music, and literature, and the accuracy of fictional pop culture inventions connected to real life science. We devote one day exclusively to the contributions of women in science, and students get to dream up their own science invention concepts. Who knows what gadgets we’ll be using in the future? You do!
