Fandom, Representation and the Real World
How do we connect our real lives to our fandom escapes? Our fan experiences excite and entertain us, and imagining ourselves in a fantasy world can be thrilling. This course explores the philosophy of fandom, with an emphasis on individual opinion and reflection and genre films and shows, and the power of music and K-pop in American culture.
