Explore the World of the Smithsonian Museums 11/30/2021 (Non-PDS Schools Only)

Audience:  All teachers, supervisors and administrators 

Description: Participants will learn how to spark cross-cultural conversations, support interdisciplinary learning, and develop critical thinking and observation skills using the resources of the Smithsonian. The session will include a tutorial on how to use the Smithsonian Learning Lab to access digital media resources and tools to apply these ideas in all grade and content classrooms. Participants will have time to begin to build their own teaching collections with coaching from the Smithsonian staff and learn how their students can use the learning lab.

Presenters: Philippa Rappoport, Manager of Community Engagement and Tess Porter, Education Support Specialist for the Smithsonian Center for Learning & Digital Access
