Oh, The Things You Will Know! All About Dyslexia! 11/10/21 (PDS Schools Only)

Audience:  All teachers P-12, Administrators, Principals

Description:  Do you have a student who you know in your heart is very smart, but you wonder why they cannot read or spell as well as their peers? There are some students with reading disabilities who may have the spectrum disability called Dyslexia. We find that most students with Dyslexia have average to high-average IQs. Since their disability is invisible, and might go unnoticed for several years, they may begin to lose self-esteem and self-confidence. Do you have any students who have these characteristics? We can help you figure out the mystery! We believe that every student wants to be successful! In this workshop you gain knowledge of the key characteristics of students with or at risk for dyslexia and the knowledge pertaining to the early identification, assessment, and instruction for students with or at-risk for dyslexia.
