July 6-August 12: ONLINE COMBO 911 and EMD Certifications

911 Dispatch Certification The 9-1-1 Basic Communications course provides participants with the basic knowledge, skills, and experience to understand the functional operation of an emergency communications system and their role and responsibilities within the emergency communications system. This course meets the following national 9-1-1 standards: APCO ANSI National Public Safety 9-1-1 Training Standard; NENA 56-004 – TTY/TDD Call Handling Standard: and NENA 56-005 - NENA Call Answering Standard.

NECI Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification This National Certification and the N.J. certification program certifies formerly trained and experienced emergency communications students with the NHTSA EMD National Standard Curriculum. Its primary purpose is to ensure that the student possesses the baseline knowledge and skills to function in the role of an Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD). This program meets the following EMD national certification standards: NHTSA Standard 11, ASTM 1258 (Standard Practice for EMD), ASTM 1552 (EMD Selection Criteria), and ASTM 1560 (EMD.  Program Management). All students will also be training to obtain a CPR card by the end of the class. *This course requires 911 Dispatch Certificate*
