August 2-5: Transition Planning & College Readiness for Students with 504s & IEPs

This course is for High School Students and Students Entering College this Fall.

This program provides students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and/or 504 plans the opportunity to enhance their ability to effectively participate in transition planning, including providing insight into considerations for selecting colleges unique to individuals with disabilities, learn what their rights are under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act, and enhance skills, such as study and self-advocacy skills, necessary to transition to college  The program will also focus on the differences between high school and college in terms of accommodations and expectations.
