Introduction to the Science of Food and Cooking (Grades 8-12)

July 26-29, 9AM - 12N

This course covers concepts from chemistry, biology and physics that underpin the principles of food science and the transformations that occur during food preparation and cooking. The course will be used to illustrate the scientific concept involved. The course is intended to help improve scientific literacy, critical thinking skills, numeracy, and scientific curiosity.

Requirements:

Students must wear appropriate clothing, specifically closed toed shoes.
