Parametric Modeling Using Auto Desk’s Inventor

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to use a parametric drawing program to sketch two and three-dimensional objects and then upload their designs to a 3D Printer to create their design.              

Course Content:

• Operating system interface
• Setting up a 2-dimensional sketch
• Understanding sketch commands
• Editing & modifying your sketch
• Using the Extrusion command
• Using Loft, Revolve commands

Required Materials

• Each student is required to download Inventor 2018 (free from educational division of AutoDesk.com)
• Personal laptop (with mouse) MUST BE A PC NOT A MAC computer
• Flash Drive to save Projects 
• Textbook: “Parametric Modeling with Auto Desk’s Inventor 2013 ” author Randy Shih SDC publishing. (Can be purchased new or used from Amazon Books (cost prox. $11.00 used))
