Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create scaled dimensional drawings of objects and architectural floor plans with elevations

Course Content:

• Operating system interface menu structure and design & taskbars
• Drawing area and limits & user coordinate system
• Drawing set-up & limits
• Drawing command-line, rectangle, circle, ellipse, editing
• Modifying Commands: move, trim, copy, mirror
• Setting up Dimension styles & Text styles preferences
• Preparing a drawing for Plotting (printing)

Materials Required

• Downloading of AutoCAD 2020 (free for students from AutoDesk education.com
• Personal laptop (with mouse) MUST BE A PC (NOT A MAC) computer AutoCAD runs much better and with fewer freeze-ups with a PC.
• Flash Drive to save Projects 
• Textbook: “The Complete CAD Exercise Book from Novice to Advanced Projects” author Richard Bettini, Associate AIA, available in school bookstore: Barnes and Noble or on Amazon Books.com. Cost $12.99 new.
