(High School Transition P.M.) Plan for Your Future: Thinking About Life after H.S. 7/27 - 7/31/20

Have you ever wondered how you will be making your living ten years from now?  This program will focus on career exploration and how to pay for the education that will get you there.   During this workshop students will explore career options that fit with their strengths, goals, and interests as well as college majors that connect to different career goals.  Students will also develop a better understanding of available funding sources for college as well as actions they can take, such as taking some classes at 2 year colleges and how to effectively search and apply for scholarships that can reduce the cost of their education.  The target audience is all high school students since the sooner one starts building resumes for scholarships, the stronger one’s application will be, and there are scholarship contests one can enter in ninth grade.

This class is specifically designed for students with 504s and IEPs.
