Cultural Sensitivity: Improving Cross-Culture Communication and Broaching Difficult Topics

This professional development workshop will review cultural commonalities and differences among diverse populations including LGBTQ, and highlight key considerations for cross cultural communication. Participants will discuss various types of micro-aggressions and how to effectively repair them. Lastly, participants will discuss the importance of advocacy for new cultures in their school environment and how schools can becomes social justice advocates.
