Total Participation Techniques for Learner Centered Classroom 10/22/19 (PDS Schools Only)

Target Audience:  Classroom Teachers Grades K-12

Description: Every 9 seconds a student drops out of school in our country, most of the time citing boredom as the reason.  As educators, we must consider:  what are students doing while encountering the content and what evidence can they provide to show that they are cognitively engaged?  Based on the book, Total Participation Techniques by Bill and Persida Himmele, participants will experience many TPTs and explore the 4 quadrants of the TPT Cognitive Engagement Model.
