Keep the Peace: Negotiating & Conflict Resolution for Middle School Students 8/6-8/10/18 9am-12pm

A hands-on reality-based learning experience designed for middle school students to teach them essential communication and negotiation skills to effectively compete and succeed both in and out of school. Students will learn negotiation tactics and techniques that will help them build confidence, develop their leadership potential and give them an edge in the classroom or any situation. Students will also learn the fundamentals of mediation, which will teach them how to manage and resolve conflicts, and handle difficult people and situations. Skills will be practiced using real-life simulations.

WP Shark Tank Persuasive Communication Middle School Program 8/6-8/10/18 1-4pm

Students in this program will learn persuasive communication and influence skills as an extension of their personality.  Using I.D.E.A. (Instruction, Demonstration, Experience, and Assessment) the process that has been adopted to enable students to maximize their development by utilizing proven sales techniques to have an immediate impact to influence others.  Students will be recorded and provided with team and facilitator feedback in our College of Business Russ Berrie Institute Lab based on the techniques they studied in class.  Students will be able to take home a DVD of their sales engagements to assist them in advancing their current skill levels. We encourage students who register for this course to consider registering for all business courses in order to maximize learning.   Do you have an innovative spirit?
