Web Design with Khan Academy 7/30-8/3/18

Khan Academy offers seven lessons to learn how to code webpages. Students will learn how to use HTML and CSS to make webpages. HTML is the markup language that you surround content with, to tell browsers about headings, lists, tables, etc. CSS is the stylesheet language that you style the page with, to tell browsers to change the color, font, layout, and more. Students will learn what HTML is and how to make a webpage with marked up text and images. Students will also learn how to write simple CSS rules, to select based on element, class, or ID, and change the colors of your page. Students will also learn how to add links within a webpage and link to some external webpages while changing the font types and styles to personalize the webpages. These lessons provide short tutorial videos for each lesson demonstrating how to implement the new concepts. The tutorials are self-guided and self-paced, which use scaffolded sets of programming instructions to explore and practice web design.
