Makerspace Fun 7/9-7/13/18

To define a school makerspace by its purpose and simplest of terms, it is a place where young people have an opportunity to explore their own interests; learn to use tools and materials, and develop creative projects. It is a place where children can use their imagination and creativity to guide their projects. Students are presented with a challenge and given specific materials at the beginning of each class. Students must then complete the challenge using only the materials provided with no further instructions. There are time restrictions for each challenge so students must get creative. These challenges promote collaboration, critical thinking, and application of science concepts.
