Agile Project Management Training (30 Hours)

This instructor-led course is intended for project professionals who are seeking to include Agile principles, tools, and techniques for application in their current or future work scenarios.  Students will learn the advantages of “going Agile” by contrasting and comparing it to more traditional approaches to project management and development.  The Agile Project Management course provides insight into the core values and principles of Agile with an emphasis on the Scrum Methodology.  Topics include, the Scrum frame-work and processes, interactions between Scrum team participants and stakeholders, best practices to optimize the success of Scrum, and the understanding of the Scrum Manifesto and Principles for project success.

The course will also provide an overview of Extreme Programming (XP) techniques and mindset for incremental software development.  Other topics include Lean Thinking and Kanban principles to manage flow, limit work in progress (WIP) and eliminate waste.

Quizzes and reviews will be conducted to gauge that topical information and terminology is being understood and is ready to be put into practice by the student.
