Todays Nurse - Making the Invisible, Visible 10/20/17

Presenters will address the topics of forensic nursing, forced and child marriage in America, human trafficking, technology stalking and dating abuse through 45 to 60 minute lectures and interactive question and answer sessions. Attendees will be provided with information on how to recognize individuals who are affected by intimate partner violence and resources to help those individuals. Evidence-based practice will be discussed, illustrating ways in which health care providers can effectively apply this knowledge to their patients. The information is also relevant to the work of interprofessionals, such as social workers, school teachers, psychologists, university staff and student leaders, as well as anyone who is interested in helping and advocating for victims of domestic violence.
