Morning Class: Art Around The World 7/10-7/14/17

Design your own passport to begin your art journey around the world.  Explore a variety of cultures and create your own project from the country being studied. Focus on hands-on, multicultural experiences through the visual arts process.  Sample projects might include: Tibetan Sand Mandalas, Aboriginal Bark Paintings, South American Rain Sticks, Guatemalan Worry Dolls, African Masks, Panamanian Molas, Japanese Zen Gardens. 

Afternoon Class: Stop Motion Animation 7/10-7/14/17

Not all movies are filmed with actors and actresses, some like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, Wallace and Gromit, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox, are filmed with puppets, clay, and ordinary objects. Learn the basics of Stop-Motion movies and make your own movie.

Students will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie using Stop Motion Animation. 

Working as a team, students will use many different components to build the set and props, then shoot their movie using an iPad.

Teams will use movie-making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more.

When the movie is complete, campers will impress friends and family with a screening party on the last day of camp.
