Genetic Engineering
DNA technologies are common tools used in a variety of applications important to the general populace including genetically modified food, biomedicine, and forensic science. Students will learn both hands-on laboratory techniques related to DNA fingerprinting and genetic engineering as well as discuss some of the challenges and controversies regarding these technologies and their uses.
