Virtual World - Web Design and Development(Residents) 7/11-7/15/16

For students who want to put themselves in the virtual world of cyber space, one way to be in such an environment is to create your own website. In this course, students will learn the basic concepts of web design and development, web-based multimedia, online forms, HTML, JavaScript, graphical components, audio, video, client/server computing, and website maintenance and management. At the end of the weeklong course, participants will: learn the fundamentals of web design, implementation, and maintenance. Acquire the knowledge of multimedia presentation and manipulation. Be in the cyber world with dynamic and interactive web pages. The program will end at noon on Friday.

College Resident Experience Description:

William Paterson University lays down the foundation to prepare student for success, with an option to stay on campus to experience college life.  While the focus is on academics and learning, the social experience that results from bringing students together is an integral part of our summer program.  Students discover the joy of living, studying, and relaxing on a beautiful suburban university campus with state-of-the-art facilities, design, and technology. Students will participate in structured and supervised evening activities and dine in our cafeteria (students will be assigned a roommate and two suitemates).  Resident students will participate in evening enrichment workshops with other Pre-College summer youth residents’ on-campus for social activities. College students are hired to mentor, supervise and reside with the resident students.   

This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Only students who have registered for a full-day or combination of two half-day programs (morning and afternoon) have the option to register for the College Resident Experience.
