Today's Nurse Series - The Marginalized Child

Center for Continuing and Professional Education
William Paterson University

Registration form for Purchase Orders only

THE MARGINALIZED CHILD

When we push people to the edge of society and do not allow them a place within, we marginalize them.  From this powerless position on the margin or fringe of society, they look in at the rest of the population. This may make the child feel alienated from their peers. So, who is this child?  Could he/she be in my school? At this conference you will gain insight into the world of the child who feels different.  Through awareness, the school nurse will be better equipped to help the marginalized child find understanding and a warm welcome within the school community.

Learn more about the child who is:

  • Targeted by bullies
  • Questioning gender identify
  • Navigating through mental illness.

4.25 contact hours from the MNA and 5.0 Professional Development Hours from William Paterson University will be awarded.

This activity has been submitted to Montana Nurses Association for approval to award 4.25 contact hours.  Montana Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
