Introduction to Guitar: Offered for Adults

This course is an introduction for students to learn the guitar within a supportive and friendly atmosphere.  Student will freely explore several different styles of guitar playing for continued studies: classical, jazz, folk, and rock. Ensemble playing, performance and music reading are integral components of this course. Topics covered will include learning to read music, positioning the guitar, tuning the instrument, improvisation, blues, rock, and more. 

Students must bring their own instruments with the exception of piano and percussion.

When required, textbooks will be provided at a cost by the instructor.
