Reading and Writing: Performance Matters! (Grades 6-8) 11/14-12/19/15

Students will develop essential skills in reading, writing, public speaking, and critical thinking, which will provide students with the essential skills needed to perform successfully at their current grade.  The purpose of this program is to provide students with academic reading skills to transition smoothly and successfully into their grade level. The William Paterson University’s Reading and Writing: Performance Matters program engages middle school students in reading, writing, and study skills activities (including test preparation for ELA) where they will receive individual attention and become active participants in their learning experience. Differentiated activities will be incorporated to facilitate all learning styles in the classroom.

This program is five (5) sessions that meets Saturday mornings from November through December 2015.

No class on 11/28/15 due to Thanksgiving Weekend.
