What the Stress:Symptoms, Strategies, Support for Helping Middle & HS Students

Audience: All School Personnel

Description: Stress is an automatic response to what is happening around us and within us. No one, no matter their age, is absent from the impact that stress may have. Interestingly, all stress is not negative. There are ways that stress is positive and can act as a catalyst in moving us forward or helping us achieve our goals. This workshop is designed to discuss some of the

challenges that middle and high school students are experiencing and how teachers, school counselors, and

administration can support their academic and social goals while recognizing the impact of stress. In experiential ways, we will explore different stress relieving techniques that can be done in the moment and in the classroom with all students.
