Visual Knowledge Institute: Learning Through Art 7/25/18 and 7/26/18

              The goal of this two-day Institute is to provide K-12 teachers with concrete and creative projects that can serve as a visual implementation of Common Core Standards, and reading curriculum. The workshop will use lesson plans from different disciplines and use a variety of appropriate media to render the lessons learned. The rationale for the use of art in this way ranges from the reinforcement of learning to the evaluation of learning outcomes, and art as an expression of an individual’s creativity.  The program features modeling of teaching strategies and other forms of experiential learning through art.

The participants to this workshop will:

• Develop their participants skill in the planning, articulation and execution of art project based on core curriculum lessons
