Teach Less and Learn More:Fraction & Decimal Concepts & Their Calculations 11/17/20

Audience: Grades 3 to 6 and Special Education

   Description: In this session, teachers will learn how to teach fractions and decimals within a focused and coherent instructional sequence of content and activities. Teachers will learn how to teach important concepts such as unit fractions, equivalent fractions, and calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to help students understand the content deeply. Throughout the session teachers will learn many hands-on activities and games that will support students’ development of a strong understanding of rational number concepts and skills.
