Strategies for Being a Highly Effective Substitute Teacher Workshop (ONLINE) 0/22/21

Learn the essential skills needed to be a substitute teacher in New Jersey public schools.  The program is designed for participants to become effective substitute teachers by providing a “toolbox” of ideas and materials for individuals to gain critical classroom skills and manage any grade-level classroom. Participants will learn the following effective classroom management strategies, relevant legal issues, curriculum planning, school processing policies, and pathway to permanent certification.

Note that in New Jersey, substitutes need to have earned a minimum of 60 college credits.

Full-Day Workshop Schedule

Morning Session 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

60 minutes break for lunch

Afternoon Session 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
