Pharmacy Technician Certification 09/05/18-02/07/19

Pharmacy Technician Program -120 hour program

The goal and purpose of the pharmacy technician program is to prepare the student to work as a pharmacy technician and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination.

The instruction will include pharmacy calculations, medical terminology, common diease state pharmacotherapies, pharmacy law and regulations, interpretation of prescriptions as well as medication orders, dosage forms, routes of administration, basic pharmacology, and institutional and community practice modalities. 

Labs will be included in the instruction. The instructor will also share anecdotes of their practice experience as an instructional method.
