Marzano's take on Goal Setting and Feedback
Grade 6-12 classroom teachers
After a brief overview of Marzano’s Nine Principles, this session will examine the first one in depth: Setting Objectives and Providing Feedback. Teachers will review many ways to engage students at higher cognitive levels by modifying their questioning technique. Setting behavioral objectives at low and high levels of bloom’s taxonomy will be practiced. Teachers will also consider the feedback that they routinely provide to their students and examine ways to make it more substantive and meaningful.
