Highly Effective Teams: The Gateway to Peak Performance 10/25/17 (PDS Schools Only)

Target Audience : Teachers, Coaches and Administrators (This session is intended for school level teams) Description:leading teams is one of the most complex challenges facing school leaders today.This session's engaging activities will focus on ways to inspire and support high-performing teams-- the structure that is needed as the gateway to peak performance for teacher leaders,coaches, and principals as well as supervisors and assistant principals.You will participate in activities and conversations as you uncover the complexity of skills and strategies required to create a robust culture in which highly effective teams can flourish. You will experience dynamic simulations in team decision-making and leadership styles. You will discover the most Important causes of dysfunctional teams and learn how to avoid those potholes. Working teams from schools and districts are invited to attend this session.

During this session, you will...

-be engaged in activities, discussions, and simulations that will give you an opportunity to experience the complexity of skills and strategies required to create a culture in which highly effective teams succeed;

·understand how to avoid the potholes that cause teams to become dysfunctional ;

·assess your leadership team's readiness to advance from groups to highly effective teams;and

-know why individual behaviors influence a team's performance.
