Genetic Engineering 

DNA technologies are common tools used in a variety of applications important to the general populace including genetically modified food, biomedicine, and forensic science. Students will learn both hands-on laboratory techniques related to DNA fingerprinting and genetic engineering as well as discuss some of the challenges and controversies regarding these technologies and their uses. The high school program will include additional hands-on laboratory work and a more formal discussion/debate of the implications and potential repercussions of these technologies in society.
