Estate Planning - Spring 2021

This course will be delievered in-person and online via Blackboard Collaborate. Students will engage with the instructor on a schedule of Thursday, 6pm - 8:40pm and will alternate in-person and online instruction due to Covid-19 restircitons.

This course is part of the Certified Financial Planner Program and is designed to be a prerequisite and preparation for the CFP Board Exam. Students will NOT recieve college credits. The cost of books and the certifcation exam are not included.

Estate planning focuses on the efficient conservation and transfer of wealth, consistent with the client’s goals. It is a study of the legal, tax, financial and non-financial aspects of this process, covering topics such as trusts, wills, probate, advanced directives, charitable giving, wealth transfers, and related taxes.
