Deepening Social Justice Practice in Education 12/3/19 (Non-PDS Schools Only)

Target Audience: K-12 teachers and administrators (all grades and subjects welcome) 

Description: How can we promote gender, racial, and economic justice through education programs, school activities, and daily interactions? How do we know if the curricula we’re teaching is culturally responsive? This interactive workshop uses real-life case studies to explore the distinction between charity and justice work, good intentions and effective impact, and assumed knowledge and community needs. Participants will leave with practical tools to thread meaningful social justice practices into their classrooms and teaching.
