Creative Interventions in the Virtual Classroom Online 10/21/2020 and 10/28/2020

This experiential workshop will lead participants through a variety of activities, / exercises / games, using applied improvisation, at each stage of group/classroom development: Beginning, Middle and Ending.  We will also discuss variations and applications that can be made to the beginning, middle and ending of a particular school day, as well as an individual lesson.

Part 1:  The focus here will be on the elements of the BEGINNING stage:  Fostering connections, belonging, sparking interest, and creating a safe, trusting space where learning can occur.  Next we will move into the elements of the MIDDLE stage: delving in, brainstorming, working together, conflict and problem solving.

Part 2: The focus here will be to continue with the elements of the MIDDLE stage and then we will segue into the elements of the ENDING stage: summarizing, evaluating, identifying gains, acknowledging movement over time, suggestions of what could have been differently, preparing for the future and good-bye.
