3D Printing Scaled Organic Models (Resident) 7/20-7/24/15

Learn the inner workings of 3D printing. This beginner’s class on 3D printing will teach you the software and hardware skills needed to convert your design ideas into real world 3D objects using a production 3D printer. Students will learn the basic concepts of computer aided design (CAD) to create 3D generated organic models, then convert the objects into water-tight meshes for final product printing. The class will also introduce the principle of photogrammetry to capture, model and print real world objects like organic figures and sculptures in 3D printer.
