    About the College

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers seven Master’s Degree programs, designed to prepare their graduates for productive careers in a changing world.  Our programs incorporate the latest developments in our disciplines, providing innovative course offerings and opportunities for student engagement.  Geared toward the active professional, the programs offer flexible online, weekend, and evening scheduling to allow our graduate students to complete advanced study while engaging in the working world.

Humanities and Social Sciences faculty come from some of the most prestigious Ph.D. and M.F.A.-granting institutions in the nation and include many Fulbright fellows and recipients of other honors.  The low student-faculty ratio in our graduate classes ensures opportunities for effective student-professor interactions as our dedicated teacher-scholars mentor students in preparation for life-long success in an evolving job market.  Our programs incorporate colloquia series, internship opportunities, conferences and speakers, as well as student research and publishing experiences, in order to provide applied experiences in the disciplines.
